"I originally submitted a disability claim with the VA 10 years ago right after I got out of the Marine Corps. I was denied. I appealed the decision. It was denied again. After being dragged around for almost a year and denied multiple times I basically gave up hope and accepted the fact I was never going to get it.
About a year ago, I was talking with my former Sergeant and explained my situation of being at 0% for the past 10 years and giving up submitting claims. He connected me with Kevin Reyes and said if anyone can help me, it's Kevin.
I reached out to Kevin and we instantly formed a bond. We spoke for over an hour and he was shocked of what I had been through. Kevin assured me that there is still hope and encouraged me to stay positive and trust the process. Fast forward a few months later and my claims were approved and I received a 100% rating. I was in disbelief. But it wasn't done yet. There was an issue with my retroactive pay. Kevin could have easily left me on my own considering he did his job and got me to 100%. Nope. He relentlessly worked through the issue for another month until we finally got it right and I received all the pay I had coming to me.
Words cannot describe how grateful and appreciative I am for Kevin. I had completely given up and had no intentions of trying again. To go from 0%-100% in a matter of months after the miserable experience I had 10 years ago was truly incredible and this was all because of Kevin.
Kevin is incredible at what he does and it was a pleasure working with him. I would honestly consider him a friend of mine after this whole experience. Thank you Kevin.
